“India is the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great-grandmother of tradition. Our most valuable and most instructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only” – Mark Twain
India. An idea. A philosophy. A tradition. A civilization. A consciousness. A moment caught in eternity. Eternity caught in a moment.
Hailed as the cradle of humanity, India is an ancient civilizational nation, the ancient Mother of all. Holding close to her bosom the multitudinous diversity of class, colour, caste (or rather ‘Jati’), racial features, language and faith, she binds her billions by a common spiritual thread woven into the very warp and weft of their consciousness, leading them to ‘seeking the Truth’ in their own experience. This seeking, then manifests in ecstatic music and dance, in myriad faiths and sagely spiritual masters, in multifarious forms of worship from animism to atheism, and in equally multifarious seekers from monks to materialists.
This is what makes India what she is. It is this India, the India of the sages and ascetics and ascended masters, of Vedas and Upanishads and Itihasas, of Bankim Chandra and Vivekananda and Aurobindo, that Srijan Foundation is working to reclaim and rebuild and rejuvenate.
Reclaiming and Rebuilding the Indian Civilization is the purpose of Srijan Foundation Trust.
Srijan Foundation is doing this by challenging mischievously constructed narratives glorifying the Islamic invasions and British colonial rule and vilifying Hinduism and the Indian civilizational ethos. Srijan Foundation is doing this by calling out the mischief of missionaries and leftist historians and rebuilding the Indic narrative. Srijan Foundation is doing this by retelling history from the Indian perspective, the authentic insider perspective as opposed to the current invaders’ perspective. And lastly, Srijan Foundation is doing this by rekindling the missionary spirit of ancient spiritual traditions of India, which is perhaps the only answer to confront the current crises of the world and the only way forward towards lasting peace and harmony.
Srijan Foundation Trust is a registered charitable trust under the Trust & Societies Act.
